Besides operating building sites in Belgium and Albania, 51N4E is presently working on various large-scale commissions in France.
For the future development of these projects, 51N4E is looking for an experienced Senior Architect to supervise, organize and strategically guide several project teams working on urban and large-scale commissions.
Our ideal candidate is highly motivated and confident in navigating a complex international environment. He/she should show a thorough understanding of 51N4E’s work and a capability to execute and translate design intentions through various stages of the internal and/or external design process. He/she possesses an analytical, hands-on approach and is expect to conduct the day-to-day dialogue with the project architects in order to ensure a high quality outcome.
Requirements imply a master’s degree in Architecture and preferably 7+ years of proven experience in all phases of the urban and architectural design process (concept development, detail and design development, construction documents, construction administration, site supervision). He/she has strong skills in conceptual designing and technical detailing, team leadership and client or consultant communication. An excellent knowledge of French building practice and urban administration/regulation is essential.
He/she is fluent in French (spoken, written), English (spoken) and/or Dutch.
51N4E is constantly looking for talented students in architecture that are eager to learn and develop their skills in a professional environment. You will be engaged as a team member with rigorous responsibilities in competition and sketch design assignments or take part in the design process for projects in their realization phase. In either case, you will benefit the support and coaching of an experienced architect and/or team leader. You will develop skills that are unknown and new to you.
Our ideal candidate is motivated and ambitious and has a strong affinity to the conceptual understanding. You have a strong sense of responsibility and are able to work under pressure, you're not afraid to take initiatives and possess an open and critical mind.
Requirements include a bachelor degree, good knowledge of Autocad and Adobe Suits. Model-making, 3D rendering skills and graphical proficiencies are an advantage.
