Day Care Centre meets Machine Depot

51N4E has won the competition for a new building in the Park of Merksem, Antwerp. The building houses the unlikely combination of a day care center and a machine depot for the City's greenery services. The jury praised the proposal for its adequate urbanistic, programmatic and architectural inventiveness. Construction is planned to start end of 2010.

'The Good Life' Bristol new development

Arnolfini Artscentre Bristol, UK. Opening of the exhibition 'The Good Life' by artists Katleen Vermeir & Ronny Heiremans. The exhibition features 51N4E's design for a new Bristol icon, a layered stack of exclusive amenities comprising a public park, a spa, an art gallery and high end housing on the quays.

Exhibition design: Backlit Heaven, Lamot

Part of the Stadsvisioenen Mechelen City Festival 2009, the exhibition Backlit Heaven (De Hemel in Tegenlicht) is on show. The scenography as well as the new public facilities, that will continue to operate in the building after the end of the festival, are by 51N4E.
